The winners are here!
After more than a year of preparations, nominations, coding, writing, primping, preening, and two jury rounds, we have finally arrived at the final announcement of the inaugural 2010 Canadian Weblog Awards.
Congratulations to all the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. We are proud to show off your mad blogging achievements. Thank you for doing Canada proud.
Huge thanks also goes out to all the jurors who volunteered their time and effort to make this juried award a reality. We are honoured to have such dedicated individuals to realize this vision.
If you are one of the high-quality winners, take your award button(s) and display them on your website as proof positive of your high quality. We're not fooling around when we tell you that you do good work.

Great list! Don't forget www.littleanimation.com. She's a new entry to the Canadian world of animated blogging and really wonderful.
momomatic, make sure to nominate her when nominations open again in a day or two!
I will, and I goofed! Her blog is www.theanimatedwoman.com. The first website is her company!
Congrats to all the nominees. And thanks for all your hard work.
WOO! Congrats to the winners!
Awesome job, Schmutzie!!
Yay everybody!
Now: a rousing chorus of "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow" for Schmutzie. Which I realize isn't as gender-neutral as one would hope for, but at least we'll all know the words.
Seriously, good job Schmutzie and all of you dazzling Canadian bloggers.
Wow!!!!! Thank You so much!!!! What a way to start a new decade!!!! You make me want to be so much better at blogging!!!! I will do my best! Much Love and Such Happiness! PFXO
Jolly Good X1000 !!!!!! Schmutzie - You dazzle me!!!!!
Yay! What a great thing to start the new year out reading!
Happy New Year, S! Now go nap or something! :)
Congratulations to all the winners and a HUGE thank you to Schmutzie and the jurors. I'll echo Patti Friday's enthusiasm :-) & join Rene in the chorus but modify it to "For She's a Jolly Good Ninja".
My quiet New Year's Eve at home has suddenly turned very exciting. Greens & Berries placed 3rd -- I'm honoured -- and one of the blogs I nominated placed 1st! Yay.
Happy New Year, everyone.
Wow! What an unbelieveable honour. We are humbled and grateful to find our blog (THE Blog) amongst the list of winners. Thank you. And keep up the great work with these awards. We will wear our winner's badge with pride!!

Congrats to all of the winners and nominees - and a huge thanks to Schmutzie for pulling this all together!
Wow! Thanks so much. I think everyone in the Media & Journalism category was a first-placer!
Thank you very much for the honour. I'm shocked and pleased as punch. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners. Thank you to everyone for organizing the awards. It's a brilliant way to shine a light on great Canadian blogs.
Wow...what a way to start the new year. Thank you so much! Congrats to all the winners and the wonderful blogs included here from the start. Wishing everyone all the best in 2011!
Thank you so much for nominating, voting and for all of your hard work with these awards!
I appreciate you exposing more folks to great Canadian blogs, especially in those areas where there are so few people writing about their experiences.
Great work!
What an exciting competition and all Canadian to boot!! Congratulations to all the winners and to the tireless folks behind the competition. I consider myself very lucky to have been a nominee -- the other blogs in my category are fantastic! I look forward to the next round.
Congrats to the winners! Well done Schmutzie!
i disagree with wmtc winning in the political category. first off she's an american and these awads should be for canadians. also she rarely writes your own stuff. its mostly just paste and links from the states. surely there are some real canadian progressive political blogs that could have been considered.
magnolia, nominees can be Canadian-born or Canadian citizens here or abroad, and wmtc falls within those parameters, and, as far content goes, there is no demand that it be Canada-centric in any way.
Nominations for the 2011 Canadian Weblog Awards will be open later today. Please nominate more political weblogs for the category!
Hey Schmutzie!
I just wanted to echo what so many others are saying here (and elsewhere).
You have handled all of this with so much professionalism and class. I have a sense of how much work went into this. It would have been easy for you to compromise but you maintained a high level of excellence at every turn.
From all of us at Life As A Human, thank you for this and for setting an example of what can be achieved when one is focused and passionate about their vision!
May 2011 be a fantastic year for you. Please never hesitate to let us know how we can be of help to you!
Cheers,
Gil
