2011 Canadian Weblog Awards Nominations Are Open And New Buttons Are Hot Off The Presses
Sunday, January 2, 2011
The Ninjamatics Canadian Weblog Awards never rest.
Hot on the heels of our HUGE announcement of our first ever 2010 Canadian Weblog Awards winners, the 2011 nominations are open for business. CWA nominations open early so that we can showcase our talent throughout the year, so please read our FAQ and nominate your favourite Canadian weblogs for this awards year. We will keep them on a running blogroll until the 2011 winners are announced on January 1, 2012.
We have decided to forgo any voting categories this year and have replaced the People's Choice category with Nature, so now there is room for weblogs pertaining specifically to plants and birds and rocks and things aside from Gardening.
Also, we have general 2011 Canadian Weblog Awards and nominee buttons for you! If you would like to spread the word of the CWAs or if you are a nominee, feel free to steal the button code provided and paste it into your weblog template or e-mails. Show off what Canada's got!
Here's to a new year at the Canadian Weblog Awards!

Hi.
Sofi, you must use the nomination form to nominate a weblog: http://www.ninjamatics.com/faq-nomination-form/
wow, schmutzie, you're like a machine!
Ahaha! I nominated Spark & Fizz and it looks like she's the only one cause that's all I see in the feed! She is awesome though and deserves it!
Great job Schmutzie. These awards are so well organized, you should be very proud.
ummmm and Spark & Fizz is not Canadian...nice work...duh.
Can it be from a Canadian who is in Thailand?
Sarah Eve, absolutely! As long as a weblog is created by a Canadian citizen either living in Canada or abroad, it can be nominated.
Hi... who "nominates" the nominees? I'm just wondering. If I'm the only one who is nominated do I automatically win? If so, what do I win?
IM just wonderng,
Andrew
Andrew, everyone nominates the nominees. Nominations are public, and you can nominate weblogs with our nomination form. Also, I doubt that you will be the only nominee in any category. There were 457 nominees in 2010, and we are expecting a few more in 2011.
Cool. Thanks... by the way I re-read my original comment and it seems a little rude. I really didnt mean it that way. My apologies if it seemed "dickish".
I guess Ill have to step up my game on the site assure a win.
Later
Andrew
